    Great pics. I only saw Saturday but I was sincerely proud to be affiliated with the CFVB competitors and the whole gym itself. You’lls performance was inspiring.

    Great story above. Having autoimmune issues myself and having lost my sister to hers earlier this year, it really brought back allot of what we’ve gone through, specifically the frustration with “medical professionals” and it encourages to me to continue on my “paleo” track.

    Naomi, I’m sorry about your sister. ๐Ÿ™ I hear and read a lot of stories about how diet (and specifically paleo) has changed lives and the frustrations felt toward the medical community’s hesitation to embrace the science behind diet rather than pharma.

    Somewhere out there (GF, is it you?), someone is planting Kale right now!

    Nice BP! Naomi, I’m sorry to hear about your sister. I also deal with a mild auto-immune issue (mild so far at least because apparently what I have can be a symptom of lupus for many people). I have found that I barely have any issues when I stick with paleo. My sister has the same issue as me, but she’s also had to have surgery on her esophagus after a dealing with misdiagnoses after misdiagnoses that she just had acid reflux. Doctors eventually said her condition was auto-immune. I just wonder if I knew about paleo sooner and if I could break her of the “everything is ok in moderation” mentality, if she could have avoided surgery. I’m not planning on following her down that road if I can avoid it. Thanks for sharing that article Thomi.

    RE: Paleo
    My doc has had his foot up my ass about my blood pressure and cholesterol for 2 years and was one appt away from increasing the dosages. That appt was a month after starting crossfit/paleo and all of my blood work and my BP had completely normalized. After the second appt with the same he told me one more time and he will start taking me OFF meds. He is very enthusiastic about me doing paleo.

    on another note: strained calf muscle so prob out of commission for a few days. cya next week.
