I think that pain storm is a great example of the type of workout that the average sane person would never do by themselves. It really requires a group effort.
I can’t say I was happy when I was was done, I just wanted to stop squatting.
he looks like a guy that just got knocked out in a UFC fight and landed funny!!!

This, to me, is another proof that CrossFit is not in the body, it’s in the mind. The mind can be our best friend, or our worst enemy. We have ability to shut out everything, get in the zone & perform. Our body is capable of doing anything mind tells it to do. I suspect it would be easier to get someone to smoke a cigarette or eat some fried food, knowing those things are unhealthy, that it would be to get that person to try a WOD.
P.S. Off topic, Yeti, please take a note!

95,100,105, 110f (the old throw it over my head trick) 110f ( told myself to not let go of the bar no matter what, the brain attempted the throw it over my head trick, the hands listened to the “don’t let go” cue.. So I ended up with a 110# pendulum smashing into my left quad. and hyper extending my knee backwards. Can’t put weight on it. Going to be an awesome bruise! )

I had issues w/ wrist pain but Thomi told me not to grip the bar w/ my hands straight up over my wrists when overhead rather let them fall back so the weigt is not bearing down on your wrist. I haven’t had any pain since. I am sure I probably didn’t explain that very well but I hope you got the idea.

And after I discovered I had purchased the same hot laces as someone else who will remain nameless, I took my happy ass to Hot Topic and got the good sh*t. It’s magic time. F**k unicorns. I’ve got rainbows!

95-115-125-135-135. my wrists hurt after overhead squats and pretty much any lift that requires holding the barbell on my chest.
