Thomi, First off, nice use of the word “dodgie”! Secondly, for payment issues, have you thought about setting up a PAYPAL account for CFVB? I think paypal can send out reminders via email to everyone that needs to pay and you can also set up side payments for things like jump ropes, t-shirts… Just a thought.

A word from Max Mormount on prepping for the Quals:

“Two weeks away from the regional games. I recommend you only work out 3 to 4 times a week 2 weeks out and 2 to 3 times a week 1 week out. You should also do 1RM’s or up to 90% the 3rd and 2nd week out. Nothing over 50 reps on gymnastics and nothing over 7 to 9 reps on power and strength movement. The last week you should hardly do anything. Drink lots of water, get 8 hours of sleep, eat well and rest. REMEMBER there is nothing you can do to get ready 2 weeks out. You need to recover!!! Now is not the time to learn things or work on things!!!! Great job everyone and good luck!!!”

That pretty much sums up my CrossFit routine. Working hard while Gerry’s done.

  4. YogiWeezy/Lisa · April 15, 2009

Look at those guns! I am so proud of my hubby!

  5. Amber · April 15, 2009

Paypal is convenient but would take a big chunk of fees from Thomi. They take 3% of the transaction or something like that, I can’t remember the exact number.

  6. Andrew · April 15, 2009

I see a lot of affiliates using mindbodyonline- it works well for our studio and can handle CC transactions for you.

Adam’s diaper butt in that shot is hot. I wish we could see more of it.

  8. Anonymous :-) · April 15, 2009

    Wait. No I don’t.

  9. JoeyG · April 15, 2009

Paypal or I could just bring my money on time.

  10. YogiWeezy · April 15, 2009

Regarding Rob’s comment: It is called “tapering” and all of you athletes from your previous lives should know what that means. You are all going to really kick some butt next weekend! I just know it!!

  11. The Law · April 15, 2009

Speaking of next weekend. Is there a caravan heading up for moral support?

  12. Amanda · April 15, 2009

I’m definitely in for joining that caravan! There were no spectator details on the quals site. Anyone know anything?

  13. Dr. Fern · April 15, 2009

anyone can attend the qauls, no fees, just show up. should be a packed house with 175 comptetitors and probably just as many spectators.

  14. YogiWeezy/Lisa · April 15, 2009

Adam and Amanda~ Andrew and I intend to be there. Wanna meet somewhere beforehand?

  15. Court · April 15, 2009

i too will be there (with bells on) to cheer on our family…lets get our posse rounded up!!!

  16. Amanda · April 15, 2009

Thanks Dr Fern. … Lisa/Adam/Court/everyone else – Let’s get everyone meeting up at the gym (or another convenient location) beforehand & cruise over together?

  17. YogiWeezy/Lisa · April 15, 2009

Yes. Just tell me what time!

  18. Dr. Fern · April 15, 2009

heads up, this was just posted for the regionals by jeff t

Attention all participants, volunteers, and spectators of the 2009 M-A Crossfit Games Qualifiers. We have just learned that the maximum occupancy of the building at one time is 100 people. Please understand that this must be adhered to throughout the weekend. If you plan on attending as a spectator because you have a friend or family member participating, please come in and watch them workout and then go outside so the next group can come in and cheer on the participants in the next heat. There WILL be a workout going on outside as well. I am sorry for any inconvenience, and thank you in advance for understanding. -Jeff Tincher
