WOW so it looks like I was not the only sick puppy. I have been in bed since Tuesday morning w/ a lovely stomach virus Yuck I do not remember the lat time I was that sick!!! Today is the first day I have felt human. I hope everyone else is feeling better too. As much as I would love to make it in today & tomorrow I think I will hold off & make sure I am better & see you all on Saturday πŸ™‚

Uh yeah. When I said the energy had changed I wasn’t kidding. That meteor/russian rocket whatever it was brought something to our little corner of the globe. I’m at work today but not for long. I’ve decided to give in to the temptations of modern medicine and get my ass to a docta. Not you Jason, so don’t get all happy with the prospect of checking me out. No turn and cough for you buddy.

I’ve decided to take this entire week off as an extended recovery. I’m out of town Friday and Saturday anyway so why even try to push myself through a WOD. No thank you. I hope I’ll be human again by Monday so I can dive back in. Until then, it’s non-zone matzoh ball soup and OJ. This is ridunkulous.

  8. Charrllliiiieee · April 2, 2009

175-195-205-215f-was gonna do 205 again, but got a business call and had to stop. Thanks for your help Rob. 205 was the same pr as last time. Issues were knees, getting to depth in the beginning, and as always…..midline midline midline.

Heads up, sorry I didnt let my peeps in on this one yet. BUT……..
After my second opinion, I decided to cancel the surgery. I was rushing to come back and almost rushed under the knife so that I could come back faster. Decided to seek alternative methods, will be exploring chiropractic solutions. However, so you all are aware my movement and feeling both have been returning w each passing day. Now if I could just stop eating percocets because they taste good. ;)_
Be back soon, in limited capacity initially but soon

  16. Thomi CFVB · April 2, 2009

Can’t wait to have you back John!!! Miss your cussing πŸ™‚ I decided since I felt like shit it would be good to go in and do both the shoulder press and the back squat. I actually PRd on both! Ha yayyyy! Shoulder press 82 x3 and Back squat 170 x5. Happy girl.. It almost made up for the fact that I can’t walk without feeling dizzy πŸ™‚

  17. YogiWeezy/Lisa · April 2, 2009

John, I am SO glad to hear that! Back surgery is not to be taken lightly. Sometimes you come out worse than when you went in. I know Cindy seconds that!

geez stephani those are some serious weights. Nice job! even yesterdays were impressive!!!

  23. jason · April 2, 2009

275 305 320 probably should have tried one more set but shoulder was hurting, either way good day PR.
ok now on to you sick people. Dr Fern is prescribing each of you two road wods. these should be taken with food and do not exceed one wod in a 24 hour period. take to of these and call me in the morning!! i expect to see your bright smiling mugs back at it frist thing monday morning!

  24. jason · April 2, 2009

john set up an appt and i’ll get you taken care of, i have an opening tomorrow night at watermans. call my sexatary jessica and she will set you up!!

  25. Matt · April 2, 2009

Not to be a stickler on grammer, because I’m 50 percent Polish… but Dr. Fren needs to go back to Hukt on Fonix…
(not to bring the whole “two…too…to” thing up again, but I believe it’s “take TWO of these and call….” I also believe you need a comma after bright and before smiling. You are putting together to adjectives in a row. The deserves a comma.

    I hope this helps

  26. Matt · April 2, 2009

wow.. A spelling mistake in my own diss… Damnit. I meant to say Dr. Fern, not Dr. Fren.

    My sincere apologies

  27. Charrllliiiieee · April 2, 2009

Matt, I think you fell into the “two, to, too” trap.

  28. Rita · April 2, 2009

    75/85/90/95/100 PR.

Nice partnering with you Stephani, sorry for the delay each time you had to drop more plates off, so that the skinny one could do your warm-ups as her PR :). Great job!

  29. Rita · April 2, 2009

John, I’m glad you decided against the surgery, I ditto Yogi, such procedures are not to be taken lightly! I hope you feel better soon!

  30. jason · April 2, 2009

  31. Stephani · April 2, 2009

  33. Amanda · April 2, 2009

Lost midline a couple times @ 115, but still PR. Wanted to go at it again to work at the midline, but missed depth on 2nd rep & psyched myself out. My bad. …Feels sooo good to be back in the gym! AND inaugural workout for my lifting shoes, they must be good luck since I PR’d, right?!
